I swapped my Wyze for another Kasa Pan Cam
Swapping Wyze for Kasa Pan Cam: A Detailed Comparison
Are you looking to upgrade your home security camera setup? In this article, we’ll delve into why I decided to swap out my Wyze Pan Cam for the Kasa Pan Cam from Kasa.
Comparison of Wyze and Kasa Cameras
I initially had the Wyze Pan Cam but opted to switch to the Kasa Pan Cam due to some key differences in functionality and design.
The Wyze Pan Cam’s design in my opinion is not that secure, with issues such as the USB cord easily popping out and causing interruptions when the power is lost. On the other hand, the Kasa Pan Cam impresses with its more secure SD card slot design, where the SD card could be easily inserted and hidden from view.
Setting up the Kasa Pan Cam was described as a straightforward process, involving adding the device through the Kasa app, connecting to Wi-Fi, and customizing settings like notifications and recording preferences. I like how both cameras do have continuous 24/7 recording feature with an SD card without the need for a subscription.
Overall, the Kasa Pan Cam was praised for its solid performance, including features like night vision, high-quality 1080p video resolution, and convenient app controls for turning the camera on and off. I like the ability to set schedules and routines within the Kasa app, offering flexibility in monitoring preferences which was one of the main reasons I made the switch as I didn’t see you could do that on the Wyze Pan Cam.
In conclusion, the Kasa Pan Cam proved to be a reliable and highly rated alternative to the Wyze Pan Cam, providing enhanced security and ease of use for home surveillance needs.
